Louann Teel-Pratt - 1986 (MA): Teacher of the Year at Bedford Heights Elementary 2010-2011. Current teaching position: 4th Grade Spanish Immersion

Douglas Ray - 1978 (BA, MA): Since earning a BA and an MA from UNT, I have gone on to graduate from the University of Texas Law School and have had a long and successful legal career. I am currently a Senior Assistant County Attorney with the Harris County Attorney's Office.

Tom Way - 1956 (MA): I worked as an editor and writer for the University of Michigan for six years, for IBM United States for twenty-five years, for IBM Japan for four years, and as a freelancer or a temp for some years since my retirement. Right now I'm looking for more freelance work: I like the work, and the money would be nice. I married a librarian in 1968. We have two daughters and one granddaughter. We've lived in Boulder, Colorado; near Poughkeepsie, New York; and now in Lockport, New York, near Buffalo and Niagara Falls. (The older daughter married a Canadian and lives with him and our granddaughter in Toronto. Lockport is about two hours away from there.) The best time of my working life was the years in Japan. Since I graduated so many decades ago, I doubt that anybody will remember me; but I sure would like to hear from anybody who does.

Laura Kennelly - 1975 (Ph.D): My news is that I'm an editor, proof-reader, and freelance writer.

Laura (Horton) Mayo - 1978 (BA): I worked for American Airlines headquarters as Senior Editor for the their inflight magazine, American Way. I also worked in AA Corporate Communications doing Public Relations and employee communications. I'm now retired from AA and still write for the magazine.

Nancy (McClaran) Oelklaus - 1984 (MA): My latest book, Excellence in Education: Culture and Leadership in Winning Districts was printed and distributed by H-E-B last spring. It's currently going through an update, and I'm in discussions with a university press for further publication.

Mac Harris - 1966 (BA): Mac Sherman Harris is serving his second term as president of the Art Center of Citrus County, a non-profit art center and 200 seat community theater in Citrus County, Fl.
