The 2019 edition of the North Texas Review has been awarded the AWP National Program Directors' Prize for Literary Magazines. It was selected for the Content Award category by Kim Chinquee, who writes:
"With its fiction, nonfiction, poetry and art, North Texas Review offers a diverse array of aesthetic material: in image, tone, and voice. From Alexa Schrunk's "Just Brothers" to "Cortexparency" by Maria Haag to Jennifer Elms's "Ditsy Dreamer," its content continues to surprise, and its characters jump out of each page. The mix of content with curation makes it a beauty; a solid win."
The English Department would like to congratulate the staff, contributors, and the Editor-in-Chief for the 2019 edition, Kaitlyn Coalson.
