Amos Magliocco

Amos Magliocco is a winner of the Pushcart Prize, and whose short stories and essays have appeared in The Missouri Review, Isotope, Yemassee, Oxford Magazine, among others. His first novel, Remedy Wheel, was described by Publisher's Weekly as a "sprawling, highly-literary tale" and "a grand old story." He is currently finishing his second novel, The Court of Requests, and a collection of essays, When The Wind Turns Traveler.

An avid storm-chaser in springtime, his weather writing and other features have appeared in Poets and Writers and The Weather Channel website. As well as the Pushcart Prize Anthology, his work appears in the anthology The Habit of Art: Best Stories from the Indiana Fiction Workshop (Indiana 2005).

He is a recipient of a Peter Taylor Fellowship in Fiction from the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop and the Warren Wilson Fellowship from Indiana University. A member of the UNT faculty since 2005, he teaches workshops in fiction, creative nonfiction, video game writing, and various literature courses. He serves as the Games Studies and Design Major Coordinator for UNT.
