Jennifer Kraemer received her PhD in Literature from the University of Texas at Dallas,
where she studied Early Modern British Literature, 19th Century Transatlantic Literature (U.S. & British), and Film Adaptation. Her particular
fields of interest are Early Modern plays as adaptations, marriage debates, and historical
true crime. She is an active member of the Modern Language Association, the Renaissance
Society of America, and the Shakespeare Association of America. Her work has been
published by the German Shakespeare Association and the journal Early Modern Literary Studies. She has taught all kinds of literature courses from World Literature to Film Adaptation
and taught middle school before she "graduated" to teaching college students. She
currently teaches writing and literature courses at UNT.
Dr. Kraemer lives on a hobby farm and, in her spare time, enjoys raising chickens,
training her dogs in obedience and agility, hiking, traveling, yoga, and, of course,
reading.
