I began teaching first-year writing courses for the University of North Texas in Fall 2017, and previously have taught for University of Texas at Tyler, Tyler Junior College, and Houston Community College. My BA is in Poetry Writing, from the University of Houston, and I hold a MA in Literature from UT-Tyler. I live on a ranch with my son and husband and many animals, writing poetry when I have time. I have had poetry published in The Broken Plate, SLAB Literary Journal, and Gris-Gris Literary Magazine. I'm currently working on a poetry chapbook.
