Jonathan Louis Duckworth is a Visiting Lecturer at University of North Texas, where he received his PhD in Creative Writing (poetry). He also received his MFA (fiction) from Florida International University. He is the author of the short story collection Have You Seen the Moon Tonight? & Other Rumors (2023, JournalStone Publishing) and his fiction appears in numerous venues including Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Gulf Coast, Southwest Review, and more, as well as many anthologies. His poetry appears in dozens of magazines, including New Ohio Review, Western Humanities Review, Meridian, Bayou, Barrelhouse, and elsewhere.

He likes heavy metal music, cats, rabbits, cooking, baking, working out, and playing spreadsheets disguised as video games. He is a dual US/Belgian citizen.
