David Holdeman has been an English Department faculty member at UNT since 1992. He's written extensively about the Irish poet W. B. Yeats and teaches a range of courses, mostly focused on modern Irish and/or British literature. While serving as department chair and (later) dean, he had many conversations with students, alumni, and DFW employers about the purpose and value of a liberal arts degree and about the steps English majors can take to prepare for life after graduation.
