Dr. Deborah Needleman Armintor specializes in eighteenth-century British literature, gender theory, and sexuality studies. She is the author of The Little Everyman: Stature and Masculinity in Eighteenth-Century English Literature (University of Washington Press, 2011). Dr. Armintor's articles have appeared in SEL (Studies in English Literature: 1500-1900), ECTI (The Eighteenth Century: Theory and Interpretation), 1650-1850: Ideas, Aesthetics, and Inquiries in the Early Modern Era, Literature and Psychology, and Harold Bloom's Modern Critical Views/Modern Critical Interpretations series edition of Gulliver's Travels. She is currently completing a book manuscript, tentatively titled Incest and Innocence Abroad, about cosmopolitanism and misrecognition in eighteenth-century fictions about accidental sibling incest.
